A power cut or a voltage dip is the most common reason a server corrupts a database or a switch needs to be reset. A correctly sized UPS keeps equipment running through short interruptions and, in a longer outage, gives it time to shut down cleanly. Sizing is the part most often got wrong: the UPS must cover the real load in watts, with headroom, for the runtime the business needs.
We supply line-interactive UPS units for PCs and small network cabinets, online double-conversion UPS systems for servers and sensitive equipment, rack-mount models with extended battery packs, and the replacement batteries that keep an existing UPS in service. Rack power distribution units and surge protection complete the setup.
Our technicians install the UPS, connect the network management card or USB shutdown software to your servers, and test a simulated outage so you know what will happen when the power actually goes.

What size UPS do I need?
Add up the wattage of everything the UPS will power and choose a UPS rated at least 25–30% above that in watts. For example, a 600 W server and switch needs roughly a 1,000 VA / 800 W UPS or larger. Colion International calculates this for you.
What is the difference between a line-interactive and an online UPS?
A line-interactive UPS switches to battery when the power fails, which suits PCs and small network cabinets. An online double-conversion UPS powers the equipment from its inverter all the time, giving cleaner power with no transfer time, which suits servers and sensitive equipment.
How often should UPS batteries be replaced?
Sealed lead-acid UPS batteries usually last three to five years in UAE conditions, less in hot rooms. Colion International supplies replacement batteries for APC, Eaton and CyberPower units and can test an existing UPS to check its runtime.
